As the year draws to a close, I'd like to announce two new works that share a theme.
6,500 painted dashes make up 'Universe'. Nature is full of oscillations or notes, and this painting charts this enormous chorus of rhythms: from the great slow waves of matter and light when the Universe was born, through to our Earth cycles of years, days, nights and tides. Beyond are our hearts, from a whale to a hummingird and going on up to the beating heart of light.

On a smaller and more local scale to mark the changes here on Earth: 'A Year', 12 colourful dashes trace the months across an earthbound green. This small work on paper is painted onto a hand printed ground.
